Tinplate Legends in Action 5
- Any tinplate train lover will find Russ McFall's man cave irresistible. His 3000-square-foot basement houses six layouts including two traditional standard gauge layouts, a Boucher-only layout, early American 2-inch gauge, and the oldest operating toy train layout in America (Carlisle & Finch from the late 1800s). The walls are filled with tinplate trains and over 200 pressed-steel toys-Buddy L, Keystone, many more.
- Jim Hall's multilevel, 20X50-foot standard gauge layout features a 9-stall round-house, sixteen 155 freight stations, and operates seven trains. 2000-feet of display shelves are filled with Lionel, McCoy and other small independents who produced some exotic SG trains starting the 60s. Jim has an extensive collection of these obscure train makers and you will be amazed at their variety and quality.
