Southern Pacific 50' Standard Box Car, Double Doors #210256
These 50' standard box cars with double doors are painted brown with white lettering and run on Barber Roller Bearing trucks. Built in 1954 as part of series 209548-210547, these cars were designed to carry auto parts to manufacturing plants feeding the explosive demand for new vehicles during the mid 1950s. They were eventually re-designated B-50-18 and transferred to general freight carrying everything from food to wood products.
