Erie Lackawanna 40' standard single door boxcar #82875
Built in the mid-1940s, this 40’ boxcar was classified XF and used exclusively for food loading. Erie Lackawanna was formed through the 1960 merger of the Erie Railroad, and the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad. It was rolled into Conrail in 1976, and most rolling stock was repainted and re-stenciled into the Conrail paint scheme.
