Santa Fe 60' wood deck modern flatcar #95392
This FT-44-class 60’ Thrall flat car was designed to haul large vehicles such as farm, military, and construction equipment. With a wood deck and tie-down channels, the cars can be used for a number of other purposes, including hauling structural steel shapes and other bulky industrial loads. These ATSF-owned flat cars were built in 1965 by Thrall. Founded in 1859, Santa Fe was one of the largest railroads in North America up until 1996, when it merged with Burlington Northern to form BNSF.
