Great Northern 40' Double-Door Box Car #4007
- Built in the early 1940s, this 40’ double-door boxcar with Roller Bearing trucks was re-built in 1962 from the ground up, with upgraded steel construction to modern standards, including double doors. It was used in general service and had a 3,763 cubic-foot capacity. Great Northern was a Class 1 railroad founded in 1881 and eventually was merged with Northern Pacific and others to form Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970.
